Located in Westcliffe, Colorado, we support our community by educating others on quilting techniques, donating to local community programs and support charities such as Comfort Quilts for children in need and Patriot Quilts for veteran programs.
2024 Quilt Show

In 1999, a group of women decided to hold a Quilt Show at the old Westcliffe, Colorado Schoolhouse over Labor Day weekend.
The show was sponsored by the WetMountain Valley Arts Council and the Westcliffe Schoolhouse Museum Board.
The women asked community members to bring quilts for the show. About 40 quilts were displayed and about 460 people came to see the show. During the
next year, the women started meeting to plan the next quilt show. This was the beginning of the Valley Quilters group. In January 2001, the group decided to
change their name to the Olde Schoolhouse Quilters. It is now 2024 and the group not only hosts an annual quilt show, but also hosts quilting workshops,
retreats, and makes comfort quilts for children and patriot quilts for veterans.
